As of this morning, the Mountain Fire is currently at 36% containment with Santa Ana winds expected to return this week.
As we work to fully reopen Camarillo Airport, the Department of Airports remains mindful of the devastation the Mountain Fire has caused for so many in our community. We understand there is a long road ahead for those directly affected, and we are committed to our role in ensuring that all aerial defense operations have the resources necessary to help protect our neighbors, not just for this incident but for any future emergencies moving forward.
